    Job description

    Are you an Accountant looking for work in South East London?

    Morgan Hunt's Public Sector and Government client based in the South East London is looking to recruit an Accountant to provide support during their Year End closure of accounts.

    As an Accountant, you will be responsible for:

    • Collaborating with managers to provide expert financial advice and support, ensuring effective decision-making processes.
    • Balance sheet management.
    • Asset management.
    • Timely reconciliations.

    Ideally, the successful candidate will be able to:

    • Showcase understanding of Technical Revenue and Capital with experience of closing accounts.
    • Proficiently use the Oracle, Oracle Projects and Tec Forge accounting systems.
    • Showcase a good understanding of local government accounting regulations and CIPFA Codes of Practice.
    • Proficiency use spreadsheets and complete financial returns.
    • Produce process documents and working papers.
    • Liaise with colleagues and external auditors on preparation and audit matters.
