Job description

Morgan Hunt re currently recruiting for a London based, Education Organisation who are looking for a HR and Recruitment Admin on a temporary basis. This is a hybrid role paying £15 - £17 per hour for 3 months initially with a chance of permanency. This role is working within a busy team reporting into a friendly and supportive Director of HR. If you have experience of iTrent that would be great!

Key Responsibilities of the Recruitment Admin:

  • To lead the recruitment activities for the college ensuring that all adverts & recruitment activity promote the college accurately as an employer & provider of choice.

  • To support managers with their permanent and temporary recruitment requirements ensuring that the college attracts high quality candidates and achieves value for money.
  • To actively participate and contribute to the wider work of the HR function ensuring that the portfolio of services provided to the college is valued, represents best in sector practice and is internally and externally validated as outstanding.

Main duties of the Recruitment Admin:

  • To manage and liaise with agencies on recruitment of new roles and ongoing recruitment.

  • To assist with all recruitment campaigns, including supporting managers in developing JD's, template adverts, placing adverts, managing the recruitment email enquiries, preparing and despatching candidate packs, arranging shortlisting and interview of candidates, taking up references and other pre-employment checks up to offer stage.

  • To assist in the process of appointing Agency staff by liaising with the managers and agencies. To advise the approved agencies of budget implications, hourly rates, and to monitor contracts ensuring agency staff are on-boarded and off-boarded effectively.
  • To monitor the recruitment of agency staff to ensure the correct procedure is being followed and budget sign off is completed from the relevant department.

  • To ensure that data is entered into the Single Central Register as required ensuring all gaps are addressed in a timely way.

  • To complete financial references, reference requests and returns from statutory bodies, building societies etc to support the flow of work through the team.

  • To monitor and track First Aid and Fire Warden statutory training.

  • To become familiar with and provide information to managers and staff about the College's general conditions of service and employment practices (e.g. annual leave, sick pay entitlement, special leave, etc), pay arrangements and pay scales.

  • To coordinate the staffing panel request in readiness for HRD.

  • To gather background information and respond to customer queries to ensure the customer experience is exemplary.

  • To set up and arrange meetings, interviews, induction programmes, exit interviews taking notes at meetings as necessary to support the wider working of the team.

Person Specification for Recruitment Admin:

  • The ability to develop positive working relationships with individuals at all levels.

  • The ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

  • The ability to organise own workload in a methodical and organised way.

  • Experience of working in an HR department

  • The ability to draft standard emails and letters and complete a range of forms accurately.

  • Experience of using iTrent would be advantageous.

  • Experience coordinating the recruitment process ideally.
