    Job description

    Are you a HRA Group Accountant looking for work in South West England?

    Morgan Hunt's Public Sector and Government client based in South West England is looking to recruit a HRA Group Accountant to contribute to the provision of an efficient, effective and comprehensive business and finance management service to the council, partners and external clients

    As a HRA Group Accountant, you will be responsible for:

    • Coordinating budgets, medium term financial plan, service plans and annual accounts closure in accordance with fixed timescales and processes for the whole of the council and at other times as required by clients
    • Managing projects assigned by senior officers within the finance team, ensuring effective delivery of the project objectives on time and within agreed budget
    • The annual update of the 30-year HRA Business Plan and associated model and involvement and update of the financial information for the DSG
    • Accounting Technicians, Accounting Support Officers & Apprentices
    • Managing the accurate and timely completion of grant claims, government and other returns, publications and research to both internal & external clients
