Senior IDVA

Salary: £35.8k per annum

Location: Remote (Working From Home opportunities, one day in the office)

Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a service manager in the domestic violence sector

Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Domestic Violence Service Manager to lead and manage a high-quality domestic abuse team for victims and their children. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of those at highest risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee risk assessments, safety planning, and referrals, prioritizing the safety of victims.
  2. Manage a small team of IDVAs, handling a case load of high-risk victims.
  3. Ensure compliance with SafeLives criteria for delivering domestic abuse services.
  4. Develop, deliver, and monitor Individual Safety and Support Plans.
  5. Collaborate with Operations Managers to identify opportunities and develop services.
  6. Attend local domestic violence strategic partnership meetings and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  7. Manage political relationships and influence local strategies to tackle domestic abuse.
  8. Act as a Designated Safeguarding Officer and ensure team adherence to safeguarding policies.
  9. Keep up to date with data protection legislation, confidentiality, and organizational policies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing a domestic abuse service team.
  • Familiarity with SafeLives criteria and risk-led approaches.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of the criminal justice and legal systems related to domestic abuse.
