Job description
Morgan Hunt are proud to be assisting a London-wide charity who aim to prevent homelessness on their search for a TST Caseworker, to work across the North London boroughs.
Responsible for coordinating pre-tenancy allocations, you will manage a case load of clients across a geographical area, and agreeing on-going client centred support planning objectives.
This role will involve working in client's homes and in the community, providing advice and support to help clients to sustain their housing, access health care and access work.
Providing a pathway to independence for former rough sleepers, the charity offers time-limited independent accommodation across North London Boroughs. As a caseworker, you will work with a number of referrals, ensuring clients are actively involved in their transition.
In this role you will be required to:
- Hold a caseload of 35 key clients and undertake regular key working sessions on a monthly basis
- Complete comprehensive needs and risk assessments
- Assist clients in making successful claims for welfare benefits, including Housing Benefits, Council Tax Support where necessary, and ensure that they are maximising their income
We are looking for someone with experience working with clients supporting them into supported accommodation and/or other floating support services. You will have experience with complex needs including substance misuse and challenging behaviour.
The role is temporary for 2 months with the possibility of extension. You will work across Monday to Friday 9AM - 5PM.
