Job Roll: British Sign Language - Communication Support Worker
Start Date: As Soon As Possible
Location: Walthamstow - North-East London
Pay Rate: £25 to £35
We require an Educational Communicator to join our Additional Learning Support team. This is an hourly paid position based in East London Walthamstow.
The team provides a range of support for learners with a learning difficulty or disability, to enable them to access educational opportunities offered by the College.
The successful candidate will have highly effective BSL communication skills with experience of supporting the hearing impaired and working with young people or adults who have learning difficulties or disabilities.
You will be required to support learners on a one to one basis in class. Working cooperatively with tutors, you will assist with classroom intervention strategies to meet the needs of the hearing-impaired learner.
You must be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and outside authorities. The successful candidate must be able to work well as part of a team and have the aptitude to work independently and unsupervised when required.
To be considered for this role you will have at least a Level 3 BSL Qualification
