Main Purpose of the Job

Main Purpose of the Job the Essential Skills Directorate responsible for English seeking a qualified Lecturer focused on teaching GCSE or Functional Skills English to re-sit students or adults on discreet programmes. As a pivotal member of the English department and the Essential Skills Directorate, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and delivering the curriculum for our resit programmes, ensuring the highest standards of education. You will have experience of teaching in Further Education (FE) or Secondary institutions, with the ability to engage our FE students to ensure they reach their full potential. The College is proud of its supportive culture, so your confidence in the classroom should be matched by your encouragement of our students' ambitions.

Skills & experience

• Right to Work & Enhanced Adult/Child DBS dated within the last 3 months or on the update service
• A UK recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, DTLLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent is essential
• Bachelor's degree in English teaching
• Up to date with latest teaching techniques and topics in English instruction
• Excellent spoken and written English language skills
• Experience of delivering the subject.
