Finance Officer
Morgan Hunt is working with a university in London who are looking at recruiting a Finance Officer. This is a 6-month contract role paying up to £24 p/hour and will offer hybrid working.
You will support the Head of Finance (HoF) in running efficient and effective financial controls, reporting and monitoring on all expenditure and income.
Key Responsibilities of the Finance Officer:
- Preparing monthly management accounts including all reconciliations, backup documentation and associated financial reporting.
- Weekly check of payment run and associated posting on Sage.
- Check of monthly bank and payroll reconciliations including DD's and other postings.
- Assist HoF in preparing Month 9 and annual Financial Statements and notes for Annual Report and Accounts.
- Conducting quarterly audit on procurement activity to ensure compliance with policy.
Previous Skills and Experience of the Finance Officer:
- Part / Fully Qualified AAT (or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Financial Software - preferably Sage
- Setting up and managing efficient Finance systems.
- Producing month end accounts, assisting in audits and payroll experience.
