  • Learning Support Funding Administrator

    Morgan Hunt is working with a college in London who are looking at recruiting a Funding Administrator. This is a 6 month contract role paying up to £17 p/hour and will offer hybrid working.

    Seeking a detail-oriented individual to manage Learner Support Funds (LSF) administration and distribution. LSF covers diverse grants like Discretionary Learner Support (DLS), Advanced Learner Loans (ALL) Bursaries, 16-19 Bursaries, and Free School Meals (FSM), supporting students with various expenses.

    Key Responsibilities of the Funding Administrator:

    • Administer and distribute Learner Support Funds, ensuring accurate recording and reporting.
    • Manage student inquiries and provide up-to-date information on support funds.
    • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including nursery facilities, for effective fund allocation.
    • Process various types of bursary payments and applications, including those for childcare, travel, and equipment costs.
    • Oversee the management of FSM Go Henry cards, including top-ups and issue resolution.
    • Assist in receivables, banking, and tuition fees support by raising invoices, updating cashbooks, and maintaining bank reconciliations.

    Previous Skills and Experience of the Funding Administrator:

    • Understanding of LSF and ESF guidelines.
    • Ideally AAT qualified.
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills as you will be student facing.
    • Previous experience in the Public sector or education environment.
    • Enhanced DBS.
