Finance Officer

Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for a Finance Officer in London on a permanent basis with a large Membership organisation. This Finance Officer role is paying up to £25,000 per annum.

The Finance Officer will sit within the Accounts Payable team, reporting to the AP Manager. The role is predominately transactional but has the scope to cover multiple areas within finance.

Main Responsibilities of the Finance Officer:

• Process invoices accurately and promptly.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of travel and subsistence claims, including recording and publishing board members' expenses.
• Prepare BACs runs for management authorisation.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations across various accounts, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll Control Account.
• Handle credit card expenses, supplier statement reconciliations, and clearing outstanding purchase orders.

Person Specification of the Finance Officer:

• Extensive experience in a fast-paced transactional finance team, covering Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Credit Control.
• Proficiency in analysing, prioritising, and presenting data using Excel to various stakeholders, adapting communication as needed.
• Demonstrated ability to identify areas for improvement in controls or processes and successfully implement solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of influencing, motivating, and building rapport with key stakeholders.
• Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines and delivering accurate information of high quality.
• In-depth knowledge of financial systems, ideally Agresso, with the ability to leverage system capabilities for enhanced efficiency and automation.
