Financial Accounts Officer

Morgan Hunt is working with a National Regulatory Authority who are recruiting for a Financial Accounts Officer role . This position will be working within the Financial Accounting team and to provide support on the audit.

As well as supporting on the Annual Report, you will also be assisting accounts and the accurate and timely completion of month end procedures. Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, your work will support a strong financial control within a fast paced busy finance team coming up to year end.

This 3 month contract hybrid role based in London and is paying on a banding of £13.53 - £16.03 per hour PAYE.

Key Responsibilities of the Financial Accounts Officer:

• Support the external audit of the Annual Report and Accounts

• Assist with the management of the Client Liaison Schedule to ensure all samples and required audit evidence is provided to the auditors by the required due dates

• Liaise with various stakeholders across the organisation to address queries raised by the auditors

• Cast and proof read the Annual Report and Accounts

• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations - investigate discrepancies and liaise with relevant stakeholders to resolve

• Understanding , checking and submitting fully reconciled balance sheet reconciliations

Previous Skills and Experience of the Financial Accounts Officer:

• Experience of working in a finance team, with good understanding of financial accounting, balance sheet reconciliations and statutory accounts.

• Able to deal with stakeholders at all levels, (internal and external) and work proactively to resolve issues and queries.

• Good MS Office skills particularly with Excel

• Working towards a CCAB, AAT or equivalent qualification
