Morgan Hunt is working with a London Charity who are looking at recruiting a fully qualified Financial Advisory consultant. The perfect candidate will be providing strategic financial and risk management advice to the Board, Treasurer and CEO, including oversight of budget development. As well as ensuring the financial probity of the charity and that it complies with all financial and statutory requirements. This 4 month contract hybrid role is paying £280 PAYE and based in London.



Key Responsibilities of the Financial Consultant:

• Provide strategic financial advice to the Treasurer, CEO and Board as required

• Develop appropriate financial procedures and policies for the organisation

• Oversee adherence to the company's or organisation's financial policies and procedures

• Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions

• Oversee and monitor progress against the budget with Management and the Board

• Assist in the preparation and finalisation of the annual accounts as well as assist in the preparation and finalisation of the annual accounts

• Coordinate the financial papers for the Resources Committee and the Board

• Review risk register quarterly assessing the financial risks internally to add new risks

• Joint line management of the Finance Manager with the CEO is required ensuring monthly 1:1s take place as well as annual appraisals.

Previous Skills and Experience of the Financial Consultant:

• Fully qualified accountant

• Board level leadership of finance function

• Strong understanding of approaches to risk management

• understanding and experience of requirements for charities

• Proven ability to build strong and effective relationships with senior stakeholders and with external stakeholders and audiences. Able to build robust and effective cross-cultural relationships.

• Strong project management and problem solving skills

• Strong analytical skills for dealing with complex and multifaceted issues

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate complex information effectively to a range of audiences.
