Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant in East London on a full time permanent basis with a Further Education organisation. This Management Accountant role is paying up to £46,000 per annum.

The Management Accountant will provide financial expertise to senior leadership to help strive towards their short- and long-term targets and strategy. The man responsibility for this role is providing management information to the Finance Manager, aiding forecasting, and budgeting reports.

Main Responsibilities of the Management Accountant:

• Provide extensive technical and practical assistance to Finance Manager for maintaining high-quality finance service.
• Ensure integrity of financial data as per Finance Manager's guidelines.
• Supervise finance team and daily financial operations, including deputising for Finance Manager.
• Execute period and year-end procedures accurately, including accruals and prepayments.
• Prepare draft management accounts, year-end schedules, and liaise with auditors during annual audit.

Person Specification of the Management Accountant:

• Hold a relevant degree or professional qualification from recognised accountancy bodies (e.g., CIMA/ACCA/CIPFA/ ICAEW)
• Experience managing a finance team.
• Understanding of safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults
• Further Education experience
• Experience using various financial software systems as well as Microsoft packages.
• Experience managing an audit.
• Perform well under pressure and meet deadlines during peak periods.
• Display confidence in independent work while also being collaborative and proactive.
