Morgan Hunt's Public Sector and Government client based in Slough is looking to recruit a Housing Needs Officer to provide support throughout a busy period.
This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35.
As a Housing Needs Officer, you will provide expert advice and guidance on housing options, social housing applications, and relevant support services.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have:
- The ability to convey complex housing information clearly and empathetically.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients facing housing challenges.
- Empathy and sensitivity to the diverse needs and backgrounds of individuals and families.
- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive assessments to identify housing needs.
- The ability to evaluate information and determine appropriate housing solutions.
- In-depth understanding of local, regional, and national housing policies and regulations.
- Familiarity with social housing programs and eligibility criteria.
- Knowledge of available housing resources, support programs, and community services.
- The ability to guide individuals through application processes and available assistance programs.
- The ability to navigate and overcome barriers to housing stability.
- The ability to handle crisis situations and provide immediate support to individuals facing housing emergencies.
- Expertise in providing clear and concise advice on housing options, policies, and procedures.
- The ability to educate clients on their housing rights and responsibilities.
- Skills in designing and delivering community outreach and educational programs.
- The ability to effectively communicate housing-related information to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with relevant software and databases for managing case records and tracking housing options.
This role requires a valid Enhanced DBS Check.
