Building Safety Manager

£55000 - £57001 per annum

Job description

We have a current opportunity for a Building Safety Manager on a permanent basis. A great opportunity for candidates who are looking for more autonomy and varied workload in their role, along with a competitive salary with some great employee benefits.

Being the Lead Building Safety Manager in the organisation, it is a fantastic opportunity to be responsible for all HRBS across their Housing Stock, putting together safety cases and ensuring all buildings are in compliant with all relevant legislative compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • To oversee the development of building safety cases for all identified high risk buildings within the scope of the Building Safety Act.
  • To ensure that all identified high risk buildings are managed and maintained in accordance with the requirements of the Building Safety Act.
  • To take the leading role in ensuring the delivery of resident engagement strategies for its higher risk buildings.
  • Liaising with the Building Safety Regulator
  • To work with colleagues to ensure new buildings covered under Building Safety Act are complaint at handover and smoothly transitioned in to the management of the Building Safety Team
  • To manage the Building Safety budget and work with colleagues in Finance and the Home Ownership to ensure the proper charging and recovery of costs related to Building Safety
  • All high risk buildings in scope of the Act identified and in liaison with other departments the necessary digital records for those buildings gathered or created, including any necessary investigations or surveys.
  • Maintain and implement a good understanding of all relevant legislation and guidance

Salary & Benefits:

  • £55,000 - £57,000 base salary car allowance
