Fire Safety Contracts Manager

Job description

We are working with a leading Housing Association who are looking for a Fire Safety Contracts Manager to join an already well established Fire Safety team. The role is focused on the advice and guidance on Fire Safety contracts in their organisation, providing recommendations and improvements throughout their stock.

Main Duties:

  • Provide expert advice on fire safety contract matters, including procurement, negotiation, and implementation.
  • Review and assess fire safety contracts to ensure alignment with legal, regulatory, and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including property management teams and external contractors, to develop and implement effective fire safety strategies.
  • Stay informed about changes in fire safety regulations and standards, and advise on their implications for contract management.
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential fire safety hazards and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in fire safety, from either client side, fire brigade or consultancy background.
  • In-depth knowledge of fire safety regulations, codes, and standards, including BS 9999, BS 9991, and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical information and communicate complex concepts effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFPS, NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate) are highly desirable.

Salary & Package:

  • £50,000 - £60,000 base salary D.O.E
