Finance Director

Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for a Finance Director in London on a full time permanent basis with an Education Charity. This Finance Director role is paying up to £90,000 per annum.

The Finance Director will need to be dynamic and hands-on as this is a vital role in overseeing the financial management and strategic planning of the organisation. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in PS Financial coupled with a strategic and managerial mindset.

Main Responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner:

• Lead the organisations financial operations, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Be the primary point of contact for PS Financial, ensuring correct data entering and coding.
• Work closely with the senior leadership team to develop financial strategies.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, keeping in line with a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Engage with both internal and external stakeholders, including board members and donors to communicate financial performance.

Person Specification of the Finance Business Partner:

• Hold a relevant degree or professional qualification from recognised accountancy bodies (e.g., CIMA/ACCA)
• Extensive PS Financial expertise or a similar system.
• Strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
• Exhibit an understanding of risks and utilise financial and business intelligence for risk management and mitigation.
• Communicate effectively across various stakeholder levels.
• Perform well under pressure and meet deadlines during peak periods.
• Display confidence in independent work while also being collaborative and proactive.
