Housing Supply Officer

Morgan Hunt's Public Sector and Government client based in Southeast, London, is looking to recruit a Housing Supply Officer to provide support throughout a busy period.

This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35.

As a Housing Supply Officer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the provision of temporary accommodation, maximising housing supply, and supporting clients in accessing welfare benefits to maintain their tenancies.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:

• Provide guidance and assistance to clients in accessing welfare benefits, including housing benefits, Universal Credit, and other financial support programs.
• Oversee the management and allocation of temporary accommodation units, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and facilities management to ensure the safety and well-being of residents in temporary housing.
• Identify and secure additional temporary accommodation units to meet the demand for housing assistance.
• Develop partnerships with landlords, housing providers, and developers to increase the availability of affordable housing options.
• Conduct benefit assessments, eligibility checks, and advocacy on behalf of clients to maximise income and housing stability.
• Support tenants in temporary accommodation to transition to more permanent housing solutions, providing advice on housing options and tenancy rights.
• Develop and implement support plans to address barriers to housing stability, including financial hardship, debt management, and access to support services.
• Collaborate with local authorities, housing associations, social services, and other agencies to coordinate holistic support services for clients.
• Build and maintain partnerships with external stakeholders to enhance the availability and accessibility of housing and support services.
