Lettings Officer

Morgan Hunt's Public Sector and Government client based in Southeast London, is looking to recruit a Lettings Officer to provide support throughout a busy period.

This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35.

As a Lettings Officer, you will be responsible for managing the lettings process for social housing properties, ensuring transparency, fairness, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:

• Provide information to prospective tenants about property specifications, eligibility criteria, and application procedures.
• Manage the allocation of social housing properties, ensuring fair and transparent allocation practices.
• Coordinate the advertising and marketing of available social housing properties through various channels, including online platforms, print media, and local community networks.
• Receive and process housing applications from individuals and families seeking social housing accommodation.
• Verify applicant eligibility, assess housing needs, and maintain accurate records of applications and waiting lists.
• Liaise with applicants to discuss property offers, arrange viewings, and facilitate the signing of tenancy agreements.
• Administer tenancy agreements, rent payments, and tenancy-related queries for social housing tenants.
• Conduct property inspections, address maintenance issues, and ensure compliance with tenancy conditions and housing standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams, housing providers, local authorities, and partner agencies to facilitate the lettings process and support tenant's housing needs.
• Participate in multi-agency meetings, training sessions, and partnership initiatives to enhance service provision and promote best practices.
