Are you a Temporary Accommodation Placement Officer looking for work in Southeast London?

Morgan Hunt's Public Sector and Government client based in Southeast London is looking to recruit a Temporary Accommodation Placement Officer to provide support throughout a busy period.

This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35.

As a Temporary Accommodation Placement Officer, you will be responsible for securing suitable temporary accommodation placements for homeless individuals and families through effective procurement and partnership working.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:

• Lead the procurement process for securing temporary accommodation placements from private sector providers, including conducting market research, issuing tenders, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
• Identify suitable temporary accommodation options for homeless individuals and families based on their needs, preferences, and eligibility criteria. Coordinate the placement process, including property inspections, lease agreements, and move-in arrangements.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with private sector landlords, letting agents, and accommodation providers. Negotiate terms and conditions, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with contractual agreements and service standards.
• Monitor the quality and suitability of temporary accommodation placements, conducting regular property inspections and tenant feedback surveys. Address any issues or concerns raised by tenants or stakeholders promptly and effectively.
• Collaborate with internal teams, local authorities, housing associations, and support agencies to coordinate housing placements and support services for homeless individuals and families. Liaise with external stakeholders to access additional housing resources and support.
• Maintain accurate records of temporary accommodation placements, procurement activities, and performance indicators. Prepare reports and analysis on placement outcomes, expenditure, and service delivery to inform decision-making and improve effectiveness.
• Showcase proven experience in procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management within the private sector.
• Showcase a strong understanding of housing legislation, temporary accommodation standards, and procurement best practices.
