Job description

Morgan Hunt is currently working with a London based college in search of an interim marketing officer.

This position is offered on hybrid basis, working from the central London based college on three days a week, two days a week from home. The position pays £29,852 p/a and has potential to be extended, subject to funding.

This role focuses on the Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs) student recruitment marketing strategy.

Key responsibilities of the interim marketing officer:

  • Support the Head of Sales and Marketing execute the higher education student recruitment marketing campaign, with an individual focus on HTQs & Lifelong Learning Entitlement within that strategy.
  • Develop a suite of marketing collateral including commissioning editorial and design - leaflets, presentations, banners, merchandise - that promotes and explains about HTQs to external audiences including prospective students and employers.
  • Collaborate with the content marketing officer in the marketing team to develop a monthly calendar of social media content relating to HTQ qualifications that supports our awareness raising and recruitment activity.
  • Collaborate with the content marketing officer and digital marketing lead to create and keep updated website content to explain and promote HTQ and higher education qualifications to external audiences.
  • Devise externally focused marketing campaigns to launch and promote the HTQ qualifications that drive visitor traffic, enquiries and applications from prospective students.
  • Execute an internal marketing campaign to raise awareness of the new HTQ qualifications to existing students as a future study option working closely with the HE lead and heads of school.
  • Work closely with the content marketing officer and digital marketing manager to deliver 'keep warm' email campaigns to maintain contact with interested enquiries/applicants throughout the year (across the HE programme, including HTQs).

    Previous experience of the Interim Marketing Executive:

    - Experience working in higher education, marketing role.

    - High proficiency in both spoken and written English, with an ability to tailor and repurpose content for different audiences

    - Evidence of understanding website and social media best practice and digital marketing.

    - Evidence of creating both online and offline marketing materials.


    This role is due to start at the end of January. Interviews are being held the second week of January on face to face basis from the central London campus. This position pays £29,852 p/a.
