Interim Senior Building Surveyor
Contract
Circa. £350/day umbrella
South London
Summary
Morgan Hunt are working with a social housing provider, currently looking for an interim Senior Building Surveyor to join their team on a 3 month ongoing contract.
Reporting to the Head of Property Services, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of property maintenance, including planned maintenance programs, responsive repairs, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of maintenance surveyors and contractors to deliver high-quality maintenance services across our housing portfolio.
- Develop and implement planned maintenance programs to ensure the long-term sustainability of our properties.
- Oversee the delivery of responsive repairs, ensuring timely and cost-effective resolution of maintenance issues reported by residents.
- Conduct regular property inspections to assess the condition of our housing stock and identify maintenance priorities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
- Provide technical advice and support to colleagues, contractors, and residents on maintenance-related matters.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in property maintenance management, with a focus on social housing or residential property.
- Strong knowledge of building construction, maintenance techniques, and health and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
