Job Title: Criminal Justice IDVA

Location: London (4 days working from home, 1 day in the Central London Office

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: 28.3k-30.3k

Our mission is to prioritise the safety, well-being, and empowerment of those affected by domestic abuse through comprehensive risk assessment, individual safety planning, advocacy, and practical support.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Identify and assess risks and needs of domestic abuse victims.
2. Prioritise high-risk cases and provide proactive crisis intervention services.
3. Assist victims in accessing services for safety and develop individual safety plans.
4. Provide tailored support services via various communication channels.
5. Understand and apply relevant legal frameworks related to protection.
6. Offer advocacy and information regarding legal, housing, health, and financial options.
7. Empower clients to recognise and address dynamics of domestic abuse.
8. Ensure clients understand their rights within the legal system and provide advocacy.
9. Participate in Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC) to ensure client safety.
10. Collaborate with a diverse team to deliver individualised services.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience working with victims of domestic violence and abuse preferred.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment and safety planning.
• Knowledge of relevant legal frameworks.
• Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency framework.
• Compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgemental approach.
