Job description

Job Title: Children and Young Persons Service Manager

Join our organisation committed to supporting children and young people impacted by Domestic Abuse. Operating in London and Surrey, our teams work collaboratively with families, fostering resilience, coping skills, and managing challenges within a context of hopeful collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

Service Delivery:

  • Ensure effective and safe service delivery across Domestic Abuse Children and Young People's service teams.
  • Provide line management, lead local Safeguarding procedures, and oversee system use and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Operations Lead for stakeholder requirements.

Service Development:

  • Address developmental needs within DA CYP service teams.
  • Collaborate on funding opportunities and oversee annual team development days.

Human Resources and Financial Management:

  • Ensure recruitment compliance and manage budgets.

Core Accountabilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring high-quality services.
  • Lead positive risk management practices and represent the organisation at external meetings.
  • Stay updated on issues related to children and young people's well-being.

General Accountabilities:

  • Act as an ambassador for the organisation.
  • Establish effective referral pathways and be the first point of contact for service-related issues.
  • Promote co production opportunities and ensure Health & Safety compliance.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

  • Graduate qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Management qualification or working towards it.
  • Qualification in Play Therapy or art/creative arts/psychotherapy (desirable).
  • Accredited by a relevant therapy body (desirable).
  • Clinical supervision qualification/background (desirable).

Experience:

  • Management experience in domestic violence, children and young people services, or related fields.
  • Post-qualifying experience in delivering and/or managing therapeutic services.
  • Experience working with young people displaying challenging/harmful behaviour (desirable).
  • Budget management and contract delivery experience.
