Floating Support Worker - Complex Needs
Location: London
Hourly Rate: £15 - £18
Temporary Contract with Possible Extension
We are currently recruiting for a compassionate Floating Support Worker with experience in helping individuals facing complex needs, homelessness, and substance misuse issues. This role involves providing 1:1 key working support to empower and assist clients in their journey towards stability and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments to understand the complex needs of individuals, particularly those experiencing homelessness and substance misuse.
- Developing and implementing tailored support plans to address specific challenges and promote positive outcomes.
- Providing hands-on assistance with daily activities, including housing support, substance misuse interventions, and emotional well-being.
- Offering guidance on accessing relevant services, such as healthcare, counseling, and rehabilitation programs.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of client interactions, progress, and any incidents.
- Collaborating with external agencies and professionals to ensure a holistic support network for clients.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in floating support work, particularly with individuals facing complex needs, homelessness, and substance misuse issues.
- Strong understanding of key working principles and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic nature of the role and work on a temporary contract basis.
