Part Time Support Worker: Women Experiencing Homelessness

A leading homelessness charity in London have approached Morgan Hunt to recruit a Support Worker on a part time basis, 3 days a week, for their service supporting women experiencing homelessness in south west London. You will be supporting clients that are homeless with a range of complex support needs to progress to independent living.

Candidate requirements:

  • Previous experience working within a supported housing setting ideally with former rough sleepers
  • Keyworking experience of clients with a variety of support needs including homelessness, drug and or alcohol abuse, mental health and offending histories
  • Ability to offer advice on tenancy sustainment and income maximisation via the housing and welfare benefits system
  • An enhanced DBS check issued within the last 12 months or registered to the online update service

Responsibilities Include:

  • Keyworking a caseload of clients with complex support needs including substance misuse, mental health, learning and or physical disabilities and offending histories
  • Providing tenancy sustainment advice and advice around housing and welfare benefits
  • Updating and creating needs and risk assessments
  • Creating person centrered wellbeing plans
  • Liaising with a range of specialist agencies on behalf of clients around a range of support issues
