Are you a Reviews Officer looking for work in Northeast London?

Morgan Hunt's Public Sector and Government client based in Northeast London is looking to recruit a Reviews Officer to provide support throughout a busy period.

This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35.

As a Reviews Officer, you will be responsible for conducting reviews of homelessness decisions, ensuring compliance with legislation, and promoting fair and transparent housing processes.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:

• Provide support and advocacy to individuals and families appealing homelessness decisions. Assist clients in understanding their rights, challenging decisions, and accessing legal advice and representation where necessary.
• Conduct thorough reviews of homelessness decisions made under the Homelessness Act 2017, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and local housing policies.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Homelessness Act 2017, relevant regulations, and case law. Ensure that all decisions and reviews adhere to legal requirements and best practices.
• Analyse evidence presented in homelessness cases, including housing assessments, eligibility determinations, and priority need assessments. Assess the accuracy and adequacy of decision-making processes and outcomes.
• Collaborate with internal teams, legal advisors, local authorities, and housing providers to facilitate reviews and address complex cases. Liaise with external agencies and advocacy groups to support clients and promote housing stability.
• Maintain accurate records of reviews, decisions, and outcomes. Prepare reports and statistical analysis on review processes, outcomes, and trends to inform service delivery and decision-making processes.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of homelessness legislation, including the Homelessness Act 2017, regulations, and case law.
