As a Senior Housing Options and Homeless Prevention Officer, you will play a pivotal role in providing guidance, assistance, and resources to individuals and families at risk of homelessness, helping them to find sustainable housing solutions.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:

• Provide expert advice on available housing options, including social housing, private rentals, temporary accommodation, and homelessness prevention programs.
• Conduct thorough assessments to identify individuals and families at risk of homelessness, considering factors such as housing instability, financial challenges, and personal circumstances.
• Develop and implement targeted intervention plans to prevent homelessness and address immediate housing needs.
• Implement proactive strategies to prevent evictions, tenancy breakdowns, and housing crises.
• Develop individualised housing plans for clients, providing ongoing support and advocacy throughout the housing process.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, documenting progress and outcomes.
• Organise and deliver educational workshops, outreach events, and training sessions to raise awareness about housing rights, homelessness prevention strategies, and available support services.
• Empower individuals and communities with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate housing challenges effectively.
