Fire Safety Surveyor
Permanent
Up to £55,529 per annum plus car allowance
Watford, Luton or Reading
Summary
Morgan Hunt are working with a leading social housing provider, currently looking for a talented Fire Safety Surveyor.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all fire risk assessment works are actioned and undertaken within agreed timeframes, as well as ensuring all parties are complying with health and safety standards and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Analyse and access building defects, provide remedial proposals and prepare detailed specifications for remedial repairs.
- Manage designated FRA tasks on Riskhub.
- Ensure work is being carried out within budgets and value for money is being achieved.
- Provide both technical and non-technical advice to other staff members on construction and building related matters.
- Monitor consultants and contractors performance.
- Undertake the role of lead officer for fire improvement works and follow the contract management framework.
About you
- Experienced in carrying out pre and post inspections as a Fire or Building Surveyor in a Property Services setting.
- Knowledge of Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005.
- Experience using SOR and non-SOR contracts.
- Strong knowledge of building defects and the related remedial actions.
- Ability to produce comprehensive specifications of work.
- RICS, MCIOB, IFE or similar professional membership is desirable.
