    Senior Procurement Officer

    Job description

    Morgan Hunt is delighted to be supporting our Public Sector client recruit an experienced Senior Procurement Officer.

    This role will be aligned to one of 4 categories:

    • Information Services
    • Estates
    • Professional & Campus Services
    • Laboratories, Medical, Veterinary Medical

    The role:

    • Carry out end-to-end procurement projects for goods, services and works
    • Conduct detailed spend analysis to identify strategic opportunities that will improve value
    • Apply best practice supplier relationship and contract management techniques
    • Engage with senior stakeholders to agree procurement needs, priorities and resourcing
    • Deliver major procurement projects on time and on budget

    The requirements:

    • Public Sector Procurement experience
    • Knowledge of regulations and legislation that govern Procurement activity for goods, services (>£50k) and works (>£2mil)
    • Category management experience
    • Project management skills
    • Strong communication and negotiation skills
    • Interest in developing Coaching/Management skills

    This is a hybrid working role with 2 daysin office working required in Edinburgh. Salary up to £44,300 DOE
