Job description

I am working with a client based in Selkirk who needs a temporary staff member (4-6 weeks full time preferably) with immediate effect to work as part of a small team to enter and update data.

Full training will be provided on how to operate the system. While much of the work will be repetitive, the person must keep focused and be able to identify any anomalies or issues which might need to be referred to a supervisor for investigation.

The person would need to be based in the office for at least the first week (for familiarisation and training) and ideally would be fully office-based, but a hybrid working pattern could be considered.

Person Specification

  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Good data analysis skills - ideally, experienced in using Vlookups, filters, pivot tables, sumif, sub-totals, or demonstrate eagerness and ability to develop their excel skills
  • Experience in carrying out reconciliations / understanding of the importance of reconciliation controls and how they work.
  • Able to learn quickly how to enter data into our repairs management system (full training provided)
  • Good attention to detail is essential
  • Able to work as part of a team and in an open plan office
  • Able to follow instructions and to ask questions and seek help when necessary.
  • Good keyboard skills
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Logical thinker with questioning mindset.
