Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer - Building Services

Company
A medium sized, specialist Mechanical and Electrical consultancy for building services engineering systems with multiple offices across the UK. This company offer a range of services including building design, condition surveys, dilapidation's, energy studies, technical studies and more. They are involved heavily in the property sector but will also carry out work in sectors such as Retail and Sports/Leisure. Their Glasgow office is currently going through a period of growth and therefore they are seeking a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join their small, social team.
Role
- Gain exposure to live projects, gaining an understanding of the project life cycle
- Work closely with senior engineers to develop specifications, design drawings, produce calculations working through the RIBA stages.
- Attend site surveys and client meetings
- Maintaining an accurate and organised schedule of personal tasks and available resource.
- Developing a technical understanding of Low Carbon Technologies, Building Regulations and Local Sustainable Planning Policy.
- Assisting in the development and presentation of project design proposals to the project team and client.
Qualifications/Experience
- Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
- Use knoweldge of software such as AutoCAD
- A desire to work in Building Services design
- Willigness to learn, can do attitude
- Full UK driving license
