Morgan Hunt are delighted to be assisting one of Scotland leading furniture suppliers as we seek to appoint an Interior Design Project Manager for a 12 month contract.

As a leading furniture supply firm based in Glasgow, specialising in high-quality furniture and interior design solutions for commercial clients, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Interior Design Project Manager to join their team and lead projects from concept to completion.

The Project Manager reports directly to the Sales Director and is responsible for the co-ordination and execution of the works as a whole to ensure that the works are constructed in accordance with the Contract, to programme and within budget. Taking total responsibility for all aspects of the delivery of the project for which they have responsibility for.

What you'll bring

As a Project Manager your main skills and experience will include:

  • Significant experience of successfully delivering either Retail Construction projects or Retail Refurbishment and Fit Out projects or Construction New Build / Refurbishment projects
  • Proven track record in managing and dealing with operational, staff, contractual and commercial issues at project level
  • Proven experience of total responsibility and success in the delivery of larger and/or complex construction projects, on time within budget and to quality
  • Be able to demonstrate the knowledge and experience required to complete a project under budget taking into consideration difficult time constraints
  • Have an extensive knowledge of construction practices that can be used on site to analyse the design and propose potential cost saving measures
  • Previous experience of producing timely reports
  • Demonstrate experience of successful client liaison
  • Strong working knowledge of HSQE legislation for the construction industry
  • Possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and IT in general
  • A proactive and flexible working approach with the ability to adapt to changing situations
  • Experience of working in a fast track, multi project environment



Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an interior design project manager, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Excellent project management skills, including budgeting and scheduling.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and a diverse team.
  • Knowledge of current interior design trends and materials.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of furniture and decor sourcing and procurement processes.
  • Certification in interior design is a plus.
