Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Audio Visual Technician for our public sector client based in the Central Belt of Scotland, this is an excellent opportunity on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. System Installation and Configuration: Lead the installation, setup, and configuration of cutting-edge audiovisual equipment, encompassing projectors, sound systems, video conferencing systems, and digital displays.

  2. Technical Support: Offer comprehensive technical support and troubleshooting assistance to internal staff during meetings, presentations, and events, guaranteeing optimal functionality of all audiovisual systems.

  3. Maintenance and Upgrades: Conduct routine maintenance checks on audiovisual equipment, implementing upgrades as necessary, and liaising with vendors for repairs or replacements.

  4. Quality Assurance: Execute thorough quality assurance tests to ensure that all audiovisual systems meet industry standards and comply with organizational guidelines.

  5. Training and Documentation: Develop comprehensive training materials and deliver training sessions for staff on the appropriate use of audiovisual equipment. Maintain detailed documentation, including system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and user manuals.

  6. Project Management: Spearhead audiovisual projects from inception to completion, collaborating with stakeholders to ascertain requirements, formulate project plans, and execute installations within stipulated budget and timeline parameters.

  7. Vendor Management: Foster strong relationships with audiovisual equipment vendors, negotiate contracts, and stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.

  8. Compliance and Security: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and security protocols pertaining to audiovisual systems, encompassing data privacy and confidentiality measures.

Essential

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in audiovisual technology support, installation, and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting audiovisual equipment such as projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices for audiovisual systems integration.
  • Outstanding project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a knack for effectively interacting with diverse stakeholders.
  • Preferred certifications include AVIXA CTS or InfoComm CTS-D.
