    Job description

    Senior Data Engineer

    Offering £35K - £50K Per Annum

    Hybrid/Remote Working

    We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our data team. You will work on building and optimising the data pipelines and architecture that power our organisation's analytics and decision-making.

    In this role, you will design, develop and maintain ETL processes to integrate data from various sources into our cloud data warehouse. You will build efficient data pipelines and implement monitoring to ensure optimal data quality and reliability.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design and develop ETL pipelines using SQL, Python, Spark and cloud technologies
    • Build processes for transforming, cleansing, validating, and loading data into cloud data warehouses
    • Improve data quality by profiling data, detecting anomalies, and resolving issues
    • Optimise data pipeline performance for scale and efficiency
    • Implement systems to monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines
    • Work with stakeholders and data scientists to understand analytics requirements
    • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively
    • Mentor other engineers and set engineering best practices

    Requirements:

    • 5 years experience building scalable data ETL processes
    • Proficiency with SQL and experience with Python
    • Knowledge of cloud data warehousing platforms
    • Strong grasp of data modeling concepts
    • Experience with data pipeline optimisation and orchestration
    • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to design data solutions
    • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
    • Passion for using data to drive business impact
    • Experience with Gib, Github and Spark is Desirable
