Technical Financial Accountant
Morgan Hunt is working with a Regulatory body who are recruiting for a Technical Financial Accountant . This position is for someone who is qualified or close to qualifying to support purchasing and receipting reconciliation work as well as balance sheet reconciliations. This 12 month contract hybrid role based in Birmingham is paying up to £310 PAYE per day.
Key Responsibilities of the Technical Financial Accountant:
- Reconcile purchasing and receipting reconciliation work
- Reconcile other balance sheet accounts
- Develop required accounting corrections
- Well versed in journal preparation
- Reporting on controls and processes within the finance and accounting team
- Identify inefficiencies and corrective action
- Helping with the smooth and effective running of reconciliation amongst the team as a senior member
Previous Skills and Experience of the Accountants Assistant:
- An accountancy qualification or very close to finishing ( ACA, ACCA , CIMA - or equivalent)
- Strong financial reconciliation experience
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Good IT skills including excel
- Oracle experience preferred but not required
- Experience in process improvement and efficiency
- Good team working skills
- Strong internal and external stakeholder relationship and building skills
- Ability to make decisions independently , as senior within the team
