Senior HR Advisor, Worcestershire

We have an exciting Permanent opportunity available for a Senior HR Advisor based in Worcestershire, B98. Salary £34k, full time, hybrid working and great benefits.

Role Senior HR Advisor

  • To support the Head of HR and current HR Business Partner in providing a high quality, professional and pro-active HR service to managers and colleagues.
  • To support managers in employment relation matters, and the implementation of all other HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide advice on conditions of service, policies, and procedures, ensuring they are effectively communicated and interpreted.
  • Provide specialist Employee Relations advice, managing ER cases end to end, including sickness, performance and capability, wellbeing.
  • Support managers with absence management processes including sickness and occupational health referrals.
  • Sensitively manage safeguarding alerts relating to staff.
  • Support managers through restructure and/or redundancy processes, including interactions with staff and union reps.
  • Take responsibility for the recruitment and selection process in designated areas, in line with the safeguarding and DBS processes.
  • Responsible for the employment journey of any new starters in your allocated area
  • Take the lead within the team on the Apprentice Network and Recruitment processes.
  • Creation and maintenance of employment records using the computerised staffing system, including the monthly payroll amendments, and processing of relevant pension paperwork, e.g. starters, leavers etc.
  • Producing general reports and statistical information as required, including sick absence data.

Skills and Experience

  • Ideally someone with experience of working within the education sector would be desirable.
  • CIPD level 5 qualified desirable
  • Experience with dealing with complex case management and advising managers is essential.
  • An enhanced DBS will be required for the role.
