Job Title: Responsive Repairs Team Scheduler (Temporary)

Location: Solihull

Duration: Temporary, Full-time (37 hours per week)



Key Responsibilities of the temporary Responsive Repairs Team Scheduler:

1. Prioritization and Allocation: Generate and prioritize work orders for responsive repairs, allocating them electronically to operatives, teams, or agencies using the in-house computer system.

2. Monitoring: Monitor repair progress to ensure timely completion within agreed-upon time frames.

3. Facilitation: Coordinate repair activities by arranging property access with tenants, operatives, and agencies as needed.

4. Customer Service: Address inquiries and complaints from customers and contractors promptly and professionally via telephone, letter, or email, ensuring effective resolution of issues.

5. Order Processing: Process repair orders accurately, maintaining records for payment and commitment purposes.

6. Data Management: Provide accurate administrative, financial, and statistical information to team leaders when required, ensuring the integrity of records and files, both computerized and manual.

7. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient delivery of maintenance services borough-wide, contributing to the overall success of the responsive repairs team.

8. Ad Hoc Duties: Perform any other duties as reasonably required from time to time to support the smooth operation of the responsive repairs team.

Previous experience and skillls of the Responsive Repairs Team Scheduler:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within property maintenance or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software for scheduling and data management.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
  • Flexibility to work full-time hours between 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, with consideration for job shares (five mornings or five afternoons).
