Job description
We have a current opportunity for a Domestic Abuse - Outreach on a temporary basis. The position will be based in Telford on a hybrid working model. For further information about this position please apply.
Job Title : Domestic Abuse - Outreach Worker
Hours: Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00 ( hybrid working 3/4 days in the office per week )
Hourly Rate: £13 - £14 holiday pay
Location: Telford
Industry: Domestic Violence
Key Responsibilities:
- To work on a one-to-one basis either face to face or online/telephone platforms with survivors/victims of the Telford and Wrekin Domestic Abuse Service
- The Outreach practitioner will work in a multi -agency framework with existing agencies site to design a co-ordinated, strategic individual intervention plan to address identified needs and risks and promote understanding of the impact of abusive behaviours.
- Working closing with other professionals to ensure that risk management and safeguarding duties are effectively met
- Comply with children and adult safeguarding ensuring that service users and colleagues understand and comply with the service's safeguarding framework.
- Support and empower service users to facilitate their understands of the impacts of Domestic Violence
- Carry out risk assessments and safety planning with women fleeing DV.
Role Requirements:
- Experience working within the Domestic Violence industry
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Confident working with a multi agency team
