Morgan Hunt as delighted to working with this fantastic client, a leading player in the UK Architectural market, operating across over 10 different market sectors.

We are currently working with them due to a small restructure within their business, resulting in them requiring a Senior Technologist for their Newcastle Studio.


The Role

The projects will specifically relate to high density residential projects.
As a Senior Technologist, you will apply and integrate technical detailing and material technologies to develop design solution into a concise set of construction documents. Using your ability to analyse and understand design intent you will produce efficient and effective technical design solutions. You will work with members of the design team to develop design solutions appropriate to the context, budget, and aesthetic requirements of architectural projects. You will use your knowledge of detailing, building materials, building codes, and construction technologies to collaborate with other professional disciplines and have opportunities to coordinate the design through all phases of the project



Duties

• Develop Technical designs
• Evaluate site conditions and perform site surveys
• Coordinate with contractor, sub-consultants, or relevant building authorities
• Operations
• Produce drawings in Revit
• Check drawings of junior staff members

Experience

• 5 years of Architectural Practice experience
• Experience in Residential/Hospitality, Commercial, Education, Rail or Transport projects
• Experience in delivering large scale residential projects
• Demonstrable RIBA Stage 4 technical lead experience and RIBA Stage 5 job-running experience with projects over £5m capital construction value
• Working within teams and the ability to manage small project-based teams
• Liaising with clients, statutory authorities, other design disciplines and suppliers/manufacturers
