FULL TIME MATERNITY COVER ROLE

£30,000 - £46,525

Greater Manchester

The Role: As a full time French teacher, you will have the chance to make a significant impact on the lives of our students. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality and engaging French lessons, catering to a diverse range of learners. You will have the opportunity to share your expertise through innovative teaching methods, ensuring students develop a solid understanding and obtain GCSE qualifications teaching across years 7-11

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching GCSE French
  • Prepare and deliver lectures, workshops, and practical sessions on various French topics.
  • Develop and update course materials to reflect the latest industry trends and advancements.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
  • Supervise and guide students through assignments and exams
  • Support the department in curriculum development and enhancement.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast teaching methodologies.

Requirements:

  • A passion for French and languages and a strong commitment to education.
  • A relevant degree in French or a related field and bilingual speaking
  • Proven experience in teaching French GCSE at a secondary level is desirable but will also consider NQT's and FE level
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the French language
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their goals.

The successful applicant will be able to teach GCSE French

We also require applicants to have:

  • A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE / Cert Ed / QTS )
  • A good honours degree in a relevant subject discipline or significant experience within the language industry and of the French language.
  • Strong knowledge of the subject
  • Ability to utilise new technologies to engage, inspire and excite students in the subject area.
  • A student first, creative, fun and exciting approach to teaching and learning in the classroom
