Customer Service Advisor

Preston - office based

3 month temporary contract

Full time (either over 4 or 5 days per week)

Our client

Morgan Hunt are working with a tenant lead housing association in Preston who are looking to recruit a Customer Service Advisor within their contact centre. This is a temporary role to start as soon as possible, and to run for 3 months initially. Working hours are 37 hours per week, with some flexibility in how this is worked, either over 4 or 5 days. This is an office-based role and candidates must be prepared to travel to the office on a daily basis.

The role - Customer Service Advisor

  • To plan all work orders, ensuring all appointments and activities are always kept up to date and operatives' productivity is maximised.
  • Work from generic mailboxes, actioning emails and communicating with customers in a timely manner for both general queries and appointment booking.
  • Maintain and update IT systems ensuring there are accurate records of all work planned and completed, ensuring the system is kept 'clean' daily, that all jobs have a future appointment and are actioned appropriately.
  • Monitor diaries so that work is booked in a timely, cost-efficient, and productive way.
  • Manage jobs from start to completion, actioning and booking emergency and urgent repairs in line with timescales set, raising follow-on repairs and allocating work.
  • Ensure all jobs are accounted for and are completed within target date.
  • Ensure adequate appointment availability in relation to relevant repairs contracts.
  • Review and amend diaries to take account of availability changes (e.g. leave, sickness and training).
  • Arrange access to properties for any works to be carried out, following up in line with 'No Access' procedures as required.
  • Handling calls from Operatives, internal and external customers.
  • Ensure invoices are paid on time and in accordance with our standing orders and financial regulations.
  • Daily administration in relation to the ordering of work, sub-contractor statements, operative paperwork, liaising with other agencies / contractors as required.
  • Maintain effective filing systems, records and processes that enable the accurate recording and timely provision of information relating to compliance and contractor updates, ensuring they are as user friendly and accessible as possible.

The candidate

The successful candidate will have call centre experience and be able to use their own initiative to provide a great customer service and triage calls effectively for successful completion.
