In this dynamic position, you'll be instrumental in crafting and implementing cutting-edge data architectures tailored to meet the unique business imperatives of our clients.

As a Data Architect Consultant, your primary mandate will be to synergize with multifaceted teams comprising business luminaries, data analysts, and software virtuosos, ensuring that our clients' data ecosystems are not just robust but also imbued with efficiency, scalability, and impregnable security measures. Your canvas will span across diverse industry verticals, empowering clients to unravel the mysteries of their data troves while optimizing operations and deriving maximum value.

Your mission entails:

  • Conducting meticulous data assessments to glean insights into clients' business exigencies and ascertain their architectural prerequisites, encompassing comprehensive data exploration and analysis to pinpoint opportunities for data consolidation, standardization, and optimization.
  • Unearthing and cataloging data sources, definitions, and lineage, thereby illuminating the intricate pathways of clients' data landscapes.
  • Crafting and refining scalable data architectures, meticulously considering facets such as data modeling, integration, and warehousing to seamlessly align with clients' data aspirations.
  • Pioneering the development of data models, dictionaries, and integration protocols, all geared toward ensuring impeccable data fidelity, coherence, and quality assurance.
  • Archiving architecture design rationale, standards, and best practices, whilst dispensing sagacious counsel on data governance, quality assurance, and management.
  • Fostering synergies with cross-functional cohorts to ensure seamless alignment of data solutions with both business imperatives and technical specifications.
  • Spearheading the delineation and enforcement of data sanctity and privacy protocols, encompassing robust measures such as access controls, encryption, and data lifecycle management.
  • Conducting rigorous evaluations of emerging technologies and tools, offering informed recommendations to fortify and enrich the existing data architecture landscape.
  • Nurturing and shepherding junior talent, fortifying client relations, and staying abreast of industry avant-garde to disseminate wisdom and insights.

In your arsenal, we seek:

  • DV Clearance, a non-negotiable credential.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a cognate discipline.
  • Extensive provenance in data architecture, spanning modeling, integration, and warehousing domains, underscored by a robust command of database management systems and advanced data modeling techniques.
  • Proficiency in wielding cloud data tools and platforms, with a keen penchant for AWS technologies (including but not limited to Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift, AWS Schema Conversion Tool, and AWS Glue).
  • A track record of excellence in consulting roles, where you've masterfully architected data solutions across diverse industry verticals.
  • Mastery over data modeling tools such as ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, or ERwin, coupled with proficiency in data integration suites like Informatica PowerCenter, Talend, or Microsoft SSIS.
  • Familiarity with an array of data modeling methodologies, encompassing ER modeling, dimensional modeling, and NoSQL paradigms.
  • Proficiency in leveraging ontologies and taxonomies to orchestrate efficient data classification and organizational frameworks.
  • Stellar communication, collaboration, and cross-functional teamwork acumen.
  • A keen analytical acuity and problem-solving prowess, underscored by a strategic bent of mind towards architecting data solutions.
  • Deep-rooted knowledge of data governance, quality assurance, and management best practices, coupled with an innate proclivity for mentorship.

This opportunity is open to candidates based in Cheltenham, London, Whitehaven, Warrington, Liverpool, or Manchester, offering a competitive remuneration package ranging from £60,000 to £90,000, augmented by a suite of excellent benefits.
