The organisation
In this Housing Management Officer opportunity in Coventry, you will join a charity helping young people, between the ages of 16-25, gain access to temporary accommodation as a result of being homeless. The role Is to help young people manage their own money accordingly to maintain their tenancy longer term .
Key responsibilities of a Housing Management Officer
- Daily monitoring of lease and service level agreements with partner agencies
- Ensuring occupancy, rent collection and arrears targets are met through the lettings and refurbishments of properties
- Taking rent payments / service charge - dealing with any rent arrears
- Assisting tenants with budgeting skills to ensure finances are stable
- Monitoring and meeting relevant health and safety standards in properties
- Monitoring both the delivery of reactive repairs and planned maintenance across the properties, ensuring it is of a high standard and is cost effective
- Monitoring and reducing issues of anti-social behaviour within services
- Clearly communicating tenant responsibilities and tenancy compliance
- Effectively interpreting financial information relating to rents, charges and contracts
Skills & experience
- Proven track record of dealing as a Housing Management Officer before or similar
- Flexible to work Monday-Friday during the week
- Lives local or able to commute to Coventry
- Holds an enhanced DBS child and adult cleared - Issued In the last 12 months or on the update service
