About the Role
Morgan Hunt is delighted to be working with a college in the Cambridge area to recruit for an Assistant Head of Department (Inclusion) roles within the Supported Learning Development division.
We are seeking highly motivated individuals with a strong background in inclusive education and additional learning support to contribute to a vibrant and forward-thinking team. These roles offer the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the student experience, helping to transform lives through inclusive teaching and leadership.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and develop curriculum and learning activities within the area of Inclusion
- Line-manage teaching and support staff to ensure high-quality inclusive education
- Drive improvement strategies aligned with the college's values and Ofsted framework
- Oversee EHCP implementation and ensure provision meets learners' individual needs
- Foster partnerships with external stakeholders and internal departments
- Monitor departmental performance against KPIs and quality standards
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching or leadership within Additional Learning Support or SEND
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, DET)
- Knowledge of inclusive curriculum development and experience of managing EHCPs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team
- Commitment to safeguarding and equality of opportunity
