Job Title: Internal Engagement Senior Associate (Contract)

Sector: Public Sector Regulatory Body
Location: London, with occaisional travel to Birmingham, or Cardiff offices
Contract Length: 6 months (with potential for extension, subject to internal approval)
Day Rate: £350-£400
Security Clearance: BPSS and Basic DBS (within last 12 months) required
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)


About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced Internal Engagement Senior Associate to join a dynamic internal communications team within a high-profile public sector regulatory body. You will play a key role in engaging colleagues during a period of strategic change and organisational transformation.

This role focuses on delivering internal engagement strategies, with a particular emphasis on continuing the success of the internal campaign Changing Currents, aimed at supporting staff through periods of uncertainty and transition.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Head of Internal Engagement to develop and deliver the next phase of the Changing Currents campaign.

  • Produce high-quality internal communications across digital and face-to-face channels.

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver internal events and engagement activities.

  • Maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders across communications, people, project management, and leadership teams.

  • Evaluate communications activity using insights and data to continuously improve future engagement.

  • Manage administrative tasks including maintaining engagement trackers, plans, and inboxes.

  • Support wider internal engagement initiatives and provide advice to internal colleagues.


Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience designing and delivering internal engagement strategies in a large or complex organisation.

  • Excellent communication skills, written, verbal, and presentational, with an ability to tailor content for diverse internal audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders.

  • Strong planning, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft 365 tools (including Yammer), SharePoint intranet, and digital engagement tools such as Slido.

  • Strong administrative, reporting, and attention-to-detail capabilities.


Desirable Skills

  • Experience in change management or change communications is highly desirable.


Additional Information

  • Security Checks: The successful candidate must pass BPSS checks and provide a Basic DBS (completed within the last 12 months).

  • IT Equipment: A Surface Pro will be provided for the duration of the contract.

  • Interview Format: Video interview.
