Job Title: Procurement Manager

Location: Hybrid (2 days per week in London Office)

Salary: £61,000 - £68,000 (pro rata)

Job Type: 6 month FTC, potential extension

Hours: Full-time (36 hours per week)

Start Date: ASAP


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies within a designated spend category.
  • Lead tendering activity in compliance with Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and internal policies.
  • Provide expert commercial, contractual, and procurement guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain detailed sourcing, project, and work plans with clear resource allocations.
  • Identify and deliver financial savings and other benefits.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement within both the category and wider procurement function.
  • Manage and mentor one Procurement Manager, supporting their development and readiness for promotion.
  • Provide management cover or deputise for the Deputy Head of Procurement as needed.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Progress towards CIPS qualification (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering tenders, particularly under Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
  • In-depth knowledge of public sector procurement and category management.
  • Ability to manage complex workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
  • Experience with contract management and legal/commercial issues is desirable.
  • Competence with IT systems, especially Microsoft Office and e-sourcing platforms.

  • High integrity, self-initiative, and adaptability.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
