
People Officer

About the Role
As People Officer, you'll play a vital part in delivering a customer-focused HR service across the employee lifecycle. Reporting to the People Advisor, you will provide first-line HR advice, support recruitment activities, manage onboarding and offboarding processes, and contribute to people projects. This is a varied and fast-paced role, perfect for someone who thrives in a hybrid, people-first culture.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day HR administrative support and first-line guidance to managers and staff.
Manage onboarding processes including offer letters, contracts, right-to-work checks, and induction coordination.
Support payroll processes and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
Maintain and update the HRIS (Cascade) to ensure data integrity and compliance with GDPR.
Collaborate on employee engagement initiatives and provide admin support for learning and development activities.
About You
We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running as a People Officer. You'll have:
Experience in HR administration within a busy, high-volume environment.
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks independently.
Excellent attention to detail and confidence handling sensitive information with discretion.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with HR systems (Cascade experience is a plus).
CIPD Level 3 (or working towards it) is desirable but not essential.
