
Regulatory Assistant
We're working on behalf of a respected professional regulator in Central London to recruit a Regulatory Assistant on a full-time, temporary 12-month contract. This is a hybrid role with a requirement to be in the office at least four days per month. It's an exciting opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills who is looking to build experience in governance, compliance, or the legal/regulatory sector.
The Role
As a Regulatory Assistant, you'll join the Authorisations Team within the Regulatory Operations Department, which oversees applications, exemptions, and professional registrations. You'll provide vital administrative support-processing applications, issuing certificates, and ensuring accurate records.
You'll be part of a collaborative team working to maintain high professional standards, handling sensitive data, and interacting with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to emails and phone enquiries, providing accurate information in line with policy
Process applications and identify when further information is needed
Administer registration and certification processes, including issuing documents and updating systems
Support financial admin tasks, including handling payments and liaising with finance
Work closely with other teams to ensure smooth and compliant service delivery
Who We're Looking For
Previous experience in an administrative, coordination, or Regulatory Assistant role
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Competence using Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Excel, Word)
Ability to follow procedures and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy
Confident in working independently and as part of a team
