Senior Accountant - inside IR35 - 14 month contract
Hourly Rate: £20.22 per hour (umbrella)

This role will involve supporting the Principal Accountant.
Main duties include:
* Provide financial support and advice for medium and longer term financial planning for nominated service department.
* Support the nominated service department in both capital and revenue budget preparation and monitoring.
* Provide support to nominated service management team in effective use of financial resources. * Financial performance reporting for nominated service department and support nominated service department in service reviews, efficiency improvements and cost reduction exercises.
* Support the Finance Manager in providing other corporate finance services, including tax management issues, financial accounting, including year-end accounts, treasury management and asset management.
Essential Skills
* CCAB (ICAEW, ACCA, CIPFA, ICAS and Chartered Accountants Ireland) qualified accountant
* Experience of providing financial advice and preparing and monitoring budgets in a complex organisation.
* Experience of presenting financial information to senior managers.
* Managing staff of 5 people
* Competent in the use of MS Office, particularly Excel.
* Excellent analytical skills.
* Involvement in preparation of annual accounts Desirable Skills
* Preparing information and reporting on financial performance
* Local government accounting and budgets.
* Use of Oracle Financials and Discoverer.
* Awareness of VAT issues affecting Local Government.

As a Senior Architectural Technician, you will have experience in the RIBA stage 4 (Detailed Design) but an overall understanding of stages 0-7 drawing production and have successfully delivered coordinated construction drawing packages using the latest design software.
